Why an interfaith anthology?
The Stanford Interfaith Anthology recognizes that a great deal of the conflicts associated with modern religion step from an unwillingness to validate and try to understand other people's beliefs. The anthology seeks to promote better understanding between people of diverse beliefs - religious, spiritual, and secular - through sharing the texts that have inspired us all to live more deliberately.
We hope that these texts will challenge you - perhaps through the ways in which you disagree with them, or perhaps through the surprising resonance of texts from a different tradition than your own. May you daily seek and find new inspirations.
